Horizon School was built by a husband and wife who believe every student has a God-given mission worth pursuing. After years of searching for the right fit for their own 5 children, Jon and Kellee England stopped looking and started building.

Jon England spent 14 years inside K–12 education as a classroom teacher and school principal. That experience taught him one thing clearly: the traditional model wasn’t built to serve every student.
Jon founded Horizon School because he believes every student deserves an education designed around who God wants them to become. He believes students are capable of far more than what most of society expects of them. He co-leads Horizon alongside his wife, coaching students through project-based learning, mentorship, and character development grounded in Christian faith.
Jon is also a dad of 5, which means he knows firsthand what parents are really looking for when they choose a school for their kids.
Kellee England

Kellee England has spent the past 5 years doing what most educators only talk about: personalizing learning for each of her 5 children. That hands-on experience gave her a deep understanding of how students actually learn, what motivates them, and what gets in the way.
The results speak for themselves. Her children know their mission and are pursuing it, whether that looks like writing a book, raising pigs, or serving an LDS mission. Kellee brings that same conviction to every student at Horizon. She holds a bachelor’s degree and the kind of practical wisdom that only comes from years of doing the work.
What drives her is straightforward: every student has a God-given mission, and Kellee loves helping young people recognize their talents and pursue what they were made to do.
